For Macs with Apple chip (M1 or later), macOS 13 or later. The app isn't notarized, so macOS blocks it the first time: open System Settings → Privacy & Security and click “Open Anyway”. If macOS offers to install the developer tools on first start, accept and open the app again. For Spotify you set up a developer access in the app; whoever creates it needs Spotify Premium, and up to 5 friends can share one. Set analysis also uses ffmpeg and yt-dlp. Installed apps update themselves.
